Learning Indonesia Languages
Lombok is a part of Indonesia, so the main language in Lombok Island is
Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesia language). Even Sasak tribe have they
languages of they own, Bahasa Indonesia is they official language, it
use in all schools and all offices.
Although is not necessary to know Indonesia language, learning it will help you sometimes, especially when you can’t find anyone able to speak English in some situations. Most of the Hotel or Restaurant employees understand English, even some of them maybe only understand what you said but can not answered in English. Here's the some of conversations examples on the some place that maybe useful for you: At The Airport : While waiting for your Bali flights or while inside the airport, you may encounter these conversations : Hi, where's the check-in counter for Flight Air ? / Hai, dimana counter check in untuk Flight Air ?
